My favorite place on planet earth is the bathtub
Seriously, seriously could not live without it. Feeling upset? Take a hot bath. Feeling achey? Take a hot bath. Bored? Take a hot bath. I might as well turn into Margot Tenenbaum and strap my tv to the radiator, sit in the tub for hours smoking cigarettes and never come out. My husband could just slide food under the door.
I recently finished up a week of teaching on a private forum for professional photographers. It was so much fun! My fingers were aching from typing though and I wished that I could just blab it all out in person. It’s quite an ordeal trying to organize your thoughts in an effective way and get them out through writing. I will say that it was a really great experience as the questions that people asked me really forced me to sit down and think through the process of why I do things the way I do and disect the method of my madness.
I have quite a few favorites from this shoot- tried to narrow it down but quit trying half way through and just posted a bunch.

Oh AMY!!!! I wish I had known about that forum! Is it too late to see it or get in and read what you posted? I seriously would be eternally grateful!

PS- im going to shoot you a quick email too just in case you don’t get this!
Oh me too! I wish I could’ve been a fly on the wall or um, the forum…
Absolutely LOVE the close-up shot of the babe in the hat. Breathtaking. I think I gasped outloud. I can only imagine what the mother’s reaction was!
Loving the bathtub vibe.
Adorable photos, that last one is priceless! I love the strength of your colors, beautiful.
you are nothing short of AMAZING!!!
Ahhh…the bathtub. Yes. Except I DO have a tv in the bathroom…and I’m slave to all things fashion and cooking. I lock myself in for hours, lol.
Wow, Amy! As always, incredible work!
Hey Amy! We LOVED having you and your sharing was awesome! Glad to hear you actually got something out of it too, cos often it feels like we are getting all the goodies! I’m rethinking all my thought processes and how I prepare for a shoot after your input. So thanks again…but I really just wanted to tell you how much I love the tub shots! So cool and so fun…off to view the slide!
I adore this session! So fresh and clean…(just starting humming the OutKast song…) Perfect for the first week of spring.
This entire shoot is stunning. And your pp is gorgeous too. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know what forum you were ‘guest starring’ in.
I loved this shoot. You are so great at thinking outside the box…the little beanie hat, bathtub, etc. You’re just super creative!
I agree about bathtubs! What AWESOME shots you got in the water! Very “Lady in the Water” surrealism there. I miss you! Hope all is well! By the way, I met my David.
Check the blog for juicy details!
If I can only be like you when I grow up! How is the bath water colored? LOVE these pictures, nothing unusual though, I love all your pictures! You inspire me every time I look and remind me how much I want to be better at what we do!
