Last night an amazing thing happened. I actually got tired and went to bed around 11:30 instead of working all night long like some kind of stressed out night owl hyped up on adrenaline. So then I woke up at 7:30 this morning when my husband got up. Since we were BOTH up for once bright and early we went to grab a cup of coffee and chat before we started the day. It was really nice…and I thought, hey, maybe this could become a new habit for me! Going to bed early, getting up early. Well, by noon I was fading fast. I just kept trying to work through it so I could go to bed early again tonight, but I was sooooo tired. Then I had the brilliant idea that if I laid down on the floor of my office I would only sleep for a little bit because I’d be so uncomfortable, right?
Yeah, not so much. THREE HOURS later I woke up on the floor with a really sore hip. The cat of course was draped across the top of my head, thrilled I’d finally come down to his level. I guess that’s further proof that I could sleep just about anywhere. I can add it to the growing list - along with the sidewalk (in 50 degree weather wearing an ugly polyester dress, don’t ask), the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the shower (yes, with the water running), the car (while driving), and just about every class I ever took in High School (although I still managed to pull off a 3.8 gpa somehow!!!!). I would even sleep through the bell ringing and wake up in an empty classroom. If any of my High School teachers are out there reading this, would you please leave a comment in the comments box to back me up on this one???

Amy, Amy, Amy……
Seriously….do you ever do anything WRONG?!?!!?? These are stunning as usual. AB FAB, girl…
BTW..I’ve been know to “close my eyes for just a sec” and sleep right through picking up the kids from school. Man, that 2:00pm hour is a killer!

I LOVE this. So much attitude, great light, and creative poses! I wish I was in Michigan so I could get one of these sessions!

But I really enjoyed hearing how you can sleep just about anywhere…. something has to be wrong with me, cause I can’t take naps, wake up early and go to bed late. Plus I have three kids under three and pretty much haven’t slpet through a night in over three years! I totaly need that fall asleep anywhere problem!

I love sleeping on the floor - which is troublesome when I’m on the floor playing with my kids!
I love these portraits… and the use of sunflares.. gorgeous

Ahhh the backlit and the flares makes me think of summer. As always great creations.

If you even think about sleeping on the floor while I am over, I will make life miserable for you. Oh so miserable. And I remove your Pegasus pillow - muhahahaha! Wink!
Great pics! I love the sunlight!!!

Amy,
Love your work. Beautiful shots.
About the sleeping..I’m with you. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow…one question, were you drooling when you woke up?
A quick question…what slideshow do you use and how did you figure out how to post it on typepad???
Enjoy your blog!

Some time before, I really needed to buy a building for my business but I did not have enough cash and couldn’t buy anything. Thank goodness my dude suggested to try to get the home loans from creditors. Hence, I acted so and used to be satisfied with my commercial loan.
Oh to wake up on a saturday morning and wolf down my TRIX cereal
while watching The Smurfs and then put on my jelly shoes to go play
outside. Maybe go for a ride on good old plastic Wonder Horse or
wander aimlessly through the neighborhood on my hot pink banana seat
bike, no doubt purchased from a garage sale.
As you can see, Wonder
Horse is still alive and well. And since 40 is the new 30, he’s got
nothing to worry about. Although- he may still be upset with me about
when I was 3 years old and I used to lay under him and pretend to milk him
like a dairy cow.

I totally had a Wonder Horse too. I think I still do somewhere. Don’t you just wish for those carefree days again?
These are great shots! Love the colors, the last one is so great!
I did not have a wonder horse, but I did have a big red strawberry with compartments inside that held all of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls (including one that actually smelled like strawberries…sort of…) which was probably kept right next to my Rainbow Bright bed tent.
I love the last shot as well…the colors are stunning!

Amy- your blog is looking awesome, and I already loved your work (especially the shots of MY children) but it was the fact that you brought up the smurfs that made me comment! Now I love you more!
Okay, I’ve been tagged on a couple of people’s blogs and have not been prompt in telling 8 things about myself that you do not know. So I am going to make restitution.
1. I take 2 showers a day. Sometimes 3 in the winter because I’m freezing and can’t get warm.
2. I can turn my left leg all the way around so my foot is twisted completely backwards and then I can walk that way.
3. I used to bite my toenails. I promise I don’t do that anymore. O my gosh. I can’t believe I used to do that.
4. I have a crush on Starbuck from the new Battlestar Galactica.
5. I have a history of chronic nightmares and extremely spiritual dreams at night.
6. I played the french horn for 8 years. Now its hard to imagine me sitting there tooting away.
7. I believe in UFO’s and aliens. I’m worried that I just said that on the internet because maybe now they are going to come find me and do experiements on me. That really happens to people.
8. Throughout my early adolescent years I would put on different melancholy records or cds and weep to the sad music while thinking of the saddest things that I could. David is heavily amused by this and consistently requests to know which particular songs I wept to.
I know I’m supposed to tag 8 people now, but I’ve noticed that all of my friends have been tagged in the last couple of weeks and I don’t want to be like ‘the song that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends.’ So we will call it a night and I really should get started on my editing seeing as its 1am already!

Cute pix, Amy! LOVE shooting redheads - the pix just SCREAM color!
Now, I’m not going to cop to the toenail thing, but I can turn my feet around backwards, too! Never met anyone who could do that! It’s a great trick to show my kids’ friends…and embarass my children, lol!

beautiful shots! and I was laughing at your 8 things… I think you’re one of the few that actually put up some juicy facts! I love it

Awesome shots!
You crack me up with your 8 things. I would love to see the leg thing you can do
You forgot to mention that you once chewed on a fish eyeball…you had way too much fun in biology:) I was laughing when I read this because I can totally picture you walking around with your leg twisted! Miss you!

While I have so many comments from a husband’s point of view, I will keep quiet as it appears you have apparently gone far out of the way to embarrass yourself and don’t need my help. I will also add that as a young girl, every time the promotional TV commercial for Michigan, entitled “Yes, Michigan” would come on, Amy would weep as the horses ran across the green pasture. The song lyrics “Yes, Michigan” still bring tears to her eyes.

oh my gosh stunning! LOVE THOSE photos… and sadly.. I was a toe nail biter too… why?!?! What the heck were we thinking?!? So funny! Loved to hear your eight things… so fun and funny!

I know I have to write something here and not just show pictures or *Anya* will make fun of me when she comes to help me do my packaging. =) She said, "Amy I can always tell when you are swamped because you just say something lame like ‘I’m lovin pink’ and then show pictures." She totally caught me on that one. So I’ll try to not be such a dork even if I am busy. The last thing I want to be is a nerdy blogger. David would probably pay me actual dollars if I would post more often. He’s one of the faithful who checks everyday. If you would like to blog stalk david please click here. Thanks for all the great comments and emails everybody on my last post! It’s so exciting getting such great feedback. I know I still owe you an update on my DC travels. All in good time my friends. All in good time.
I liked this purty girl Caroline. She was reserved. And very soulful.
And TA DA! The slideshow.
