37 weeks and counting…The whole session I was terrified she would go into labor and it would be my fault somehow. Other than that- she was stunning, the Lake was stunning, the mood was just right. Besides the fact that it was FREEZING cold on this April day. She was more than willing to withstand the conditions because she REALLY wanted these pregnancy photos. I would like to personally vote her the hottest mommy -to- be in Grand Rapids! I really love doing maternity photography because it is such an exciting time of sweet anticipation. I love the mystery of life that is hiding just beneath the skin…so real yet so unreal to me. Its hard to believe that bump is going to be a crying baby I could visibly see and hold within a few short weeks.

First of all I want to thank everyone who has personally emailed me or left comments on the Breakfast at Tiffany’s video! I love hearing from everyone and want to thank you for reading this blog and being so supportive.
Here are some more pics from the session as promised-

As you can see, they were fun & relaxed which allowed me to catch some cool moments!

I love this mischeivous look that says "I’m about to touch your lens! What are you gonna do about it???" Kids are so funny.

The main point of the session was to document this precious little one who was just born- but the whole family was so fantastic I ended up spending a ton of time photographing everyone!

A few weeks ago we shot a mini-documentary on a creative project I was working on where I re-created a famous photograph of Audrey Hepburn from the movie Breakfast at Tiffanys. I can’t wait for you all to see it! A big thanks goes to Andy Anderson who did such an amazing job on the project.
Make sure your speakers are turned up and check it out!
You can also see the video on YouTube and SimplePhotoTV (a rad video site for photographers. Check it out if you’ve never been!)

Senior Picture season is upon us. Check out the website to view my "GIRLS ONLY" senior portfolio.
I am currently looking for a handful of female Junior classmen who would like to be a representative/model. The sessions will be fashion-editorial style in some very fun locations. Sessions must take place in the next few weeks, so do not delay in contacting me. Once again, the qualifications are: you must be a female and live in the Grand Rapids Area. Preferrably a Junior Classmen. Must be willing to spread the word about Amy Wenzel Photography! =)
Please email me your contact info, name of your High School and a snapshot of yourself. I will only be accepting a limited number of reps this year.
Thanks everyone!

Just a quick post- I’m currently working on editing this session. ADORABLE family. Wanted to share this favorite shot from the shoot. I promise I’ll share more when I get them finished…
Oh and I’m seriously considering kidknapping their dog. Nicest dog EVER.
