It’s hard to believe these pictures were taken in March. It looks like the middle of summer. But the weather that day was so gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous….look at her beautiful belly! She was glowing and laughing the whole time and had to concentrate really hard to stop smiling for a few serious shots. I’m going to do some major photo sharing here because I could not narrow it down! They were wonderful to photograph and I ended up with way too many proofs to edit. Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Check out my new website Swiss Miss Cards! I’ve been working steadily on this project for a while now and have had a hard time keeping it to myself, so now I can shout from the roof tops that it is finally done!! I hope all of you photographers out there love the card designs I’ve put my heart into for your clients. The website features Birth Announcements, Holiday Cards & Save the Date Cards. If you like what you see, link me to your blog and help get the word out for Swiss Miss! Thanks, guys!
My husband brought home a bottle of champage tonight to celebrate the completion of this website. We ended up sitting in front of the TV eating pizza and watching American Idol to see who got voted off. I have to thank my husband for being such a trooper, bearing with my late nights of working, supporting me in every way, critiquing my work and being my biggest fan. I love you, babe!
Also, a big thanks to my photographer friends Stephanie TeSlaa and Sara Anthony for testing and disecting all of my photoshop actions. You guys rock! Thank you for your support and encouragement this week.
Now for a decent nights sleep. I’m still pretty wound up, so here’s hoping!

Have you ever wondered what became of your college roommate from freshmen year? I did. We were good friends back then and life just carried us in different directions and we lost touch. So I attempted to locate her via the alumni association and they connected us! After exchanging a few emails and getting caught up on each others lives she asked me to do a photo session of her beautiful daughter when they were going to be back in Michigan for a visit. It was so great to see her again and meet her family. After about 10 minutes of being toether it felt like old times to me. Its so strange how if you have been close to someone at one point in time, even if 10 years has passed since you’ve seen them, it can feel like no time has passed at all. Now I wish they lived closer so I could see them more often!

Here’s a break from the norm….a love struck couple I photographed recently. I’d like to steal her red coat. So this has nothing to do with photography, but word on the street is that my husband and I are going to adopt a kitten from the animal shelter or humane society. So we went to look and see what they had available last weekend. Its not quite kitten season yet, so no luck…but to my own detriment I accidently made an emotional connection with a 3 month old puppy while I was there at the pound. His name was Duke and I can’t stop thinking about him! Now in my own defense I’m picky about dogs, but it was one of those things where I looked at him, he looked at me (through his little cage) and BAM. I was done for. I’d never seen a sweeter or gentler dog. Within 3 days he was already adopted to a good home, but I am still obsessing about Duke. I should have never gone into the dog area. I knew better!!!!! Maybe you’ll see a furry friend appear on my blog in a few weeks. I’ll keep you posted!

I’ve been on a bit of a blog strike. I have so many different things in the works right now that I’ve been concentrating my full energy on. But I was officially chided by a photographer friend and rightly so. Here are a few pictures from Wednesday’s session. I was just getting my hopes up for some mild weather moving in so I could get outdoors a little more with my camera, but I don’t think thats going to be happening with the looks of things outside right now! I’ve had some fun and brave clients who are willing to take on the cold. Gotta love them!

Absolutely stunning. She will be happy and I’m sure will shed a few tears - as did I when I saw these. Wish I had had photos like this when I was pregnant with my son.
These are officially my favorite maternity photos ever! I love the family ones - simply stunning!
WOW! I am so awed at these. I love the feel, so fresh, alive, and happy. I love every single one of them, I can clearly see why you couldn’t narrow them down. I really love the one of them all outside and her belly’s showing and then the one of her and her husband outside. Love that one! And also the second black and white posted.
Great work! Very inspiring.
